• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account, or information provided by Google if you use Google Sign-In.
• Pet information: Your pet's name, species, breed, age, weight, sex, desexed status, and known health conditions.
• Usage data: Questions you ask, conversations, triage assessments, and interactions with the platform.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies for analytics and service improvement.
• Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card details.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

• Provide and personalise our AI-powered pet guidance service
• Store your pet profiles and conversation history for continuity
• Improve the accuracy and relevance of our responses
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send service-related communications (e.g. account verification)
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. AI and data processing

When you ask a question or use the triage tool, your query is processed by artificial intelligence systems to generate a response. Your questions are sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI) for processing. We do not use your personal conversations to train AI models. Pet profile data is included with queries solely to provide personalised responses.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. Account data and conversations are stored with Supabase (hosted on AWS in the Asia-Pacific region). We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Supabase: Authentication and database hosting
• OpenAI: AI query processing and response generation
• Pinecone: Vector search for knowledge base retrieval
• Stripe: Payment processing
• Vercel: Website hosting
• Google: OAuth authentication (if you choose Google Sign-In)

Each of these providers has their own privacy policies governing their handling of data.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of marketing communications
